Social Good: The ChatterBox Partners with ConAgra Foods and Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign

>> March 15, 2010

We are so excited to announce Christie's (The ChaterBox) involvement with ConAgra Food's Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign.  She's on a team of 14 amazing bloggers located all across this country that were selected to spread awareness about this movement.

Did you know: Nearly one in four children in the United States doesn't know where his or her next meal is coming from? That's nearly 17 million kids across the country form all walks of life - from cities to rural areas; two-income families to single-parent homes.

This means that a child in your son or daughter's class, brownie troop, soccer team... his or her best friend could be one of these kids. It really makes you think, right?  ConAgra Foods, in partnership with Feeding America, the nation's leading hunger-relief organization, is encouraging individuals and communities to rally together and host or attend events that support this program.  Christie will be working with ConAgra and the other campaign bloggers on organizing special projects and rallies for the Child Hunger Ends Here through the end of May.  They've all got some fun live/in-person and virtual events and activities lined up.

How Can You Help:  Of course by supporting the campaign efforts by attending events and donating food or money to Feeding America and your local food bank but also when you grocery shop.  By purchasing participating brands (Banquet, Chef Boyardee, Healthy Choice, Manwich, Marie Callender's, Orville Redenbacher's, and Peter Pan peanut butter), portions of your purchases will go towards this campaign.

Conferences: The BlogRollers Media to Present Panel Discussion at Product Camp Atlanta

>> February 1, 2010

The BlogRollers Media and fellow Atlanta-based blogger/marketer Mami2Mommy are planning to present a panel at ProductCamp Atlanta this Saturday, February 6th on the campus of Georgia Tech.
ProductCamp Atlanta is a FREE, collaborative, user organized professional un-conference, focused on Product Management and Marketing topics. It's a great opportunity for participants to learn from, teach to, and network with professionals involved in the Product Management, Marketing, and Development process from the Atlanta area.
At ProductCamp, everyone will participate in some manner: presenting, leading a discussion, showcasing a best practice, or sharing their experiences. Others help with logistics, securing sponsorships, organizing sessions, or settng up/cleaning up. This is a self organizing collaborative event that is designed be a fun, rewarding and a unique experience.

We say "planning to present a panel discussion" because in true un-conference fashion, the participants will be voting on the sessions they want to have. We have presented a panel on using multiple social media platforms and using bloggers to launch or spread your marketing message. Below is Christie Crowder's interview with David Eckoff on what we hope participants will take home from our session:

Whether you are planning to attend ProductCamp Atlanta or not, we'd love your help in getting our session considered! Please CLICK HERE to vote for our session and leave a comment too (if you are so inclined). Feel free to spread the word on Twitter and Facebook as well.  We appreciate your support!
